Digital watercolor of a corner of Times Square at night in New York City.
When I visited NYC the X Factor show was being heavily promoted–there were giant billboards in Times Square with the smug-faced Simon Cowell and company peering down on what would become another one of their future captive audience. Paula looked great, and so did the two others whose names I couldn’t recall off the top of my head.
Some X Factor reruns were shown on Japanese TV and I was able to catch a few episodes. Unfortunately, it never caught on with the locals here so now I have no idea what’s going on with whom.
I took this photo of this particular corner of Times Square because it didn’t have the giant billboard mentioned above (but did have the large X logo), and also because it had the Swatch shop which I love. My husband and I own just a pair of Swatch watches, sporty waterproof ones that we use when hiking and going to the beach etc. I feel that I’ve outgrown Swatches in general–the designs seem geared toward a much younger crowd–but I always enjoy browsing at any one of the dedicated shops here in Tokyo/Yokohama. The colors and patterns are fun to look at.
