横浜市にある總持寺の「百間廊下」。東西の殿堂群をつなぎ合わせて、外苑と内苑とを分ける廊下は長さ152メートルもあります。床がいつもピカピカ。
An outdoor hallway called “Hyakken-rouka” at the Buddhist temple Soji-ji in Yokohama, Japan. The shiny floors, which the monks polish daily, is 152 meters long! I took this photo on a lovely Spring morning. It’s part of a 4-photo black-and-white set including: Spring White Flowers, Roof Tile Details, Ornate Lamp Post.

The characters on the left make up a Japanese Buddhism quote that reads “Ingaouhou” meaning “What goes around comes around” or “As you sow, so you shall reap”.
