Buddhist Temple in Black and White – Passageway

An outdoor hallway called “Hyakken-rouka” at the Buddhist temple Soji-ji in Yokohama, Japan. The shiny floors, which the monks polish daily, is 152 meters long! I took this photo on a lovely Spring morning. It’s part of a 4-photo black-and-white set including: Spring White Flowers, Roof Tile Details, Ornate Lamp Post.

Art prints are available on Fine Art America.

Alternatively, customizable poster and canvas prints carrying this image are available on Zazzle. The characters on the left make up a Japanese Buddhism quote that reads “Ingaouhou” meaning “What goes around comes around” or “As you sow, so you shall reap”. This text portion is fully changeable so you may customize with your own favorite quote or proverb.

This image is part of a 4-piece black-and-white set. See also Ornate Lamp Post, Spring Flowers and Roof Tile Details.
